Obituary:

Patricia left us before we were ready, leaving behind her beloved husband Steven Hum, her loving brother Chris Hayes, daughter Cheryl Brost (Carole Suchy) and the family of her brother Bob Hayes - Becci, niece Sairin and nephew Barry.  Patricia remained the best friend of her former husband Swami Sivananda (Don Gamble) and an integral part of the Gamble family, a favourite aunt and close friend to her sisters-in-law.  Deeply valued by a vast network of friends and colleagues, she will be missed and will live in our hearts forever.  A Celebration of Patricia’s life will take place at the Unitarian Church, 30 Cleary Ave., on June 16, gathering at 5:30 for 6pm start.  Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

  1. So happy and blessed to have had Patricia in my life. She was a tremendous woman, a passionate lover of life. She was unstinting in her generosity as a friend, sister, daughter, mom, teacher, coach and so many of the the vital roles she played in her time here. Her spirit will live on through all of us. She is, and always will be much loved.

  4. We lived next door to Patricia for 21 years. She was a wonderful neighbour and friend. We shared planting duties. She was a very special person and a true gift to the world. We shall miss her very much.

  6. I didn't know Patricia personally, however, she made an incredible mark on my life and my family's life that won't soon be forgotten. Patricia's encouragement during others' trials is truly inspiring and reminds me that we should all aspire to be such steadfast friends. She was unfailingly kind and generous to those close to her, and she will be greatly missed.
