SKINNER, Rea - With her beloved husband Jack at her side, Rea passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 25, after a short illness.  Loving mother to Anthony Leighton and grandmother to Lily Leighton, Laura Buet and Jacob Skinner.  With her marriage to Jack 36 years ago Rea bravely took on 5 step-children who will miss her dearly - Wendy Skinner-Buet (Andre), Bill, Jill, Patricia and Suzanne.   Rea loved and was loved by her many friends, golfing buddies at Glen Mar Golf Club, bridge partners, and neighbours in Amberwood Village.  Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the Unitarian Church Hall, 30 Cleary Ave, at 2pm on Thursday March 12.  In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Care Ottawa would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Dear Jack. I was shocked and surpised to learn of Rea's death. Joanne Warren told me just a month ago that, during a conversation, Rea had suggested we all get together for a reunion. Rea and I worked very closely together many years ago at the Conference Board. Her spirit, dedication and "no nonsense" ability to keep us all going in the right have always been an inspiration to me. I am happy to learn that, following retirement, she has had such an active, fulfilling life. My warmest wishes to you all. Florence Campbell
