Obituary:


Passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge Long Term Care, on Monday May 20th, 2013 at the age of 93, with her family by her side.  Beloved wife of the late George Dumitrescu. Cherished mother of Lucia Tudor (Costel) and Mihaela Andronic  (Catalin). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Laura, Casti and Cristina.  Predeceased by her parents Gheorghe and Elena Urse.  The family would like to express heartfeltthanks to the staff of Granite Ridge Long Term Care facility, the Dialysis staff at the Civic Hospital and Goldsmith Medical Services for their exceptional care and warm support.  The family welcomes family friends and everyone who knew Marina for the wake at First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel, 259 St-Patrick Street – Ottawa (corner Dalhousie), on Wednesday May 22, from 12 pm to 2 pm.  A Memorial Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 23rd 2013, at 12 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.  A Graveside Service will be held immediately following at the United Cemetery in Carleton Place (2677 Cemetery Side Rd, Carleton Place).  Flowers or in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation – http://www.ohfoundation.ca/ Civic Campus Hemodialysis Unit would be appreciated.  Online condolences can be made at  www.firstmemorialfuneral.com

Obituary:


Armstrong, Brian It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian, age 59, on Sunday May 5, 2013 at the Embassy West Hospice, Ottawa. He was the beloved husband of Lorie (née Dominique) and loving father of Robert and Grant. Dear brother of Ron (Marie) and uncle of Kevin, Lisa and Heather Armstrong, Sunni, John and Kirk Dominique and Jayla Samuels. Brother-in-law of Mandy (Pierre), Judy (Larry) John, Robbie (Trish) and Nina (Jesus). Brian was the son of the late Hazel and Cecil Armstrong of Kinburn. Funeral service will be held on Monday May 13, 2013 at 11:00 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Rd., Kanata, ON. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Obituary:

Feb. 13, 1927 - May 1, 2013 - Satya Pal Adlakha passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital with his sister Shakuntala and his daughter Claire by his side.  Satya Pal (Peter to his Canadian friends) was a devoted husband of 56 years to Clara (Balbach); loving father to Paul (w/ Jan Taylor), David, Claire (w/ Mark Fitzpatrick); cherished grandfather to Ian, Olivia, Anna, Emma, Erika, Erin, Laura, Jenna, and Kelly (and son Brody).  He was predeceased by his parents Duni Chand and Lalbai; siblings, sister Sushila, brother Ram Dev, and sister Satya.  Satya Pal and Clara married in Sunderland, England in 1956.  The family lived in India and England, and came to St. Catharine’s in 1964.  As a Marine Engineer, Satya Pal advanced his career with further moves to Sydney, NS and finally settling in Ottawa - their home.  Satya Pal was a tireless caregiver, even during his final years, and was always a pillar of strength and wisdom to everyone.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel – Ottawa, ON.  In lieu of flowers, it was Satya Pal's wish that those who remember him please consider contributing to their favorite charity instead.  A private family gathering will be held.  Condolences may be left at www.firstmemorialfuneral.com

Obituary:



PROULX, Richard - Passed away surrounded by family on April 29, 2013 at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Survived by his loving wife Diane (nee Chartrand) and his two sons Dan (Claudette Lacasse) and Randy (Patricia Johnston).   Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Sophie, Paige, Chloe, Noah and Addison.  Survived by his sister Odette (Richard MacKenzie) and pre-deceased by his sister Raymonde (Guy Cousineau).  A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (435 Montreal Road, Ottawa, ON) at 9:30 a.m.  Friends and family may pay their respects at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Online condolences can be made at www.firstmemorialfuneral.com.
