Weatherall, Carson Lawrence - Passed away peacefully on September 4, 2013 at Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital at the age of 89 years. Cherished son of the late Daniel Weatherall and the late Julia McSorley. Dear husband of the late Leona M. Weatherall.  Loving father of Kevin and forever remembered by his 4 grandchildren Rachel, Stacey, Erin and Daniel all from Vancouver Island. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be joining his predeceased brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend their special thanks to all the staff at the Elisabeth Bruyère Palliative care. The family has chosen to do a private service at a later date. Donations to the Elisabeth Bruyère hospital would be appreciated.

NICOLIC, Momir Dragoslav (Nick) - September 4, 1939 – September 15, 2013.  Stubborn to the end and we expected nothing less. Nick is survived by his wife Jill (née McCleary) and daughter Elizabeth of Kanata, who were at his side to the end, and brother Gradomir of Belgrade. Much appreciation for their care and compassion is owed to staff at the CCAC, Carefor Health and Community Services, the Ottawa Hospital General Campus, the Cancer Centre (especially Dr. Garth Nicholas), the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre, and the Queensway Carleton Hospital (especially Dr.Khadija Bhimji and Dr. Sharon Morrin, as well as Lanie, Stacey, Elena and Natalie for the care received on C4). Lucille Desjardins (née Thériault), Décédée le 25 août 2013, à l'âge de 86 ans, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Marcel (Linda) et Diane (Angelo), ses petits-fils tant aimés Michael, Patrick (Stacey) et Fabien.  Chère soeur de Thérèse (Roger), Jeannine (feu Gérald), Lorraine (Gérard), Maurice (Lorraine), François (Muriel) et Jacques (Claudette),  Elle laisse également deux belles-sœurs, Pierrette et Simone de nombreux neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s et amies. Elle rejoint son mari Claude, sa soeur Pierrette et ses frères Jean-Marie, Roger, Robert (Claire), Paul (Dorothy), Bernard (Anita) et Germain (Madeleine). Un merci spécial à Ginette Roy et le personnel du Centre d'hébergement Maison bon séjour, 2 Nord. Le service religieux aura lieu le samedi 14 septembre à 10 h en la Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Ottawa, 385 prom. Sussex. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9 h 30. Des dons peuvent être offerts en sa mémoire au Patro d'Ottawa pour le Club de l'amitié, un programme pour les personnes aînées francophones.

Lucille Desjardins (née Thériault) passed away on August 25, 2013 at the age of 86. She leaves her children Marcel (Linda) and Diane (Angelo), her cherished grandchildren Michael, Patrick (Stacey) and Fabien.  Dear sister of Thérèse (Roger), Jeannine (the late Gérald), Lorraine (Gérard), Maurice (Lorraine), François (Muriel) and Jacques (Claudette), she also leaves behind 
two sisters-in-law Pierrette and Simone and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her husband Claude, her sister Pierrette and her brothers Jean-Marie, Roger, Robert (Claire), Paul (Dorothy), Bernard (Anita) and Germain (Madeleine). Special thanks to Ginette Roy and the staff at the Centre d'hébergement Maison bon séjour, 2 Nord for their excellent care. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 14, in Notre-Dame of Ottawa Cathedral, 385 Sussex Drive, at 10 a.m. In Memoriam, donations can be made to the Patro d'Ottawa, Club de l'Amitié, a program for francophone seniors.

Obituary:

Veitch, Douglas - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas, age 88, on Friday July 26, 2013 at the Civic hospital, Ottawa. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile (née Rochon) and loving father of Paul Veitch (Janet) and Anne-Marie Teasdale (Jean).  Dear grandfather of Leigh-Anne (Shawn), Shannon (Stephen), Megan (Pat) and Trevor and Great-Grandfather of Adrienne and Jack Teasdale and Juliette Hyndman. Doug was the son of the late Earle Anthony and the late Marion Veitch. He was also predeceased by his sister Madelaine.  The family would like to thank the staff of the CCAC and the wonderful care of Nurse Ginette Drouin for her compassionate care and support. A special thank you is also extended to Doug and Pat Hunt for their unwavering friendship and support. Internment has taken place.

ANDERSON, Neil Munro – on June 20th, 2013 in Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 75.  He is survived by his spouse Jeannette McDonald, his children Tamara, Todd (Andrea), Leah and Jason, his grandchildren Kylie, Tessa and Jack, his siblings Larry, Elaine and RonnyCelebration of Life – Friends and family are invited to a simple gathering to celebrate Neil's life at the Minto Suite Hotel, 185 Lyon Street North, Ottawa, on Friday July 19th, 2013 from 3-5pm.   Condolences may be left at www.firstmemorialfuneral.com


Biography:

Neil was a native of Turtleford, Saskatchewan. He obtained his education from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in land surveying and later earned a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria in Computer Mathematics. Neil joined the Canadian Hydrographic Service in 1960 and spent eight years as a field hydrographer, specializing in Arctic hydrographic surveying. He headed technology development sections both in support of field hydrographic surveying and charting and in cartography for the development of interactive computer graphics systems for nautical chart production.

In 1979, Neil was appointed Director of Planning and Development for the Canadian Hydrographic Service, at its headquarters in Ottawa. In this capacity, he was responsible for co-ordinating the national R&D programs for hydrography and marine cartography. Neil was involved with many different types of technology development projects related to hydrographic surveying and nautical charts, including electronic charts, Global Positioning System, geographic information systems, multibeam sonar systems, marine robotics and data communication. Neil was a leader in the development of Geomatics as a science and engineering discipline that is emerging out of a collective impact of these technologies. Neil developed and participated in many government - industry cooperative projects, at both the national and international levels.


Neil retired on May 31, 1995 from CHS. He then joined Nautical Data International as the Vice-President, International Development where he pursued his work till 2001.

HEWITT, Taylor Ford – Suddenly on June 9th, 2013 in Gatineau, Quebec at the age of 23.  He is survived by his parents Michael and Li Hewitt, Sister Alanna Hewitt, Aunt Fran Ford, Uncle Tom Ford, Uncle Russ Dawydiuk, Uncle Kevin Hewitt and Grandmothers Irene Ford and Barbara McCreary.  Taylor worked tirelessly as a professional fundraiser for the Red Cross.  The path he chose in life was a difficult one, full of hurdles, but Taylor managed to overcome most of them.  Friends will be received at First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel, 259 St Patrick St, Ottawa, on Saturday June 29th, 2013 from 2-5pm for a simple gathering to celebrate Taylor’s life. Obituary:


Chuan Lu Chang, of Ottawa Ontario, died June 5, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital.  He was born on November 20, 1962, in Hai Phong, Vietnam to Mao- Hut Chang and Yu Chun Lee.  In 2003, Lu and his family moved from Toronto to Ottawa to start his career with Moneysworth and Best. He loved his job very much as a Shoe Repairman.  His hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, meeting new people, sports, exercising with his family and shopping with his family.  He is survived by his wife Li Xia Lin, his son William Chang, his two brothers Truien Hoa Chang and Truien Phuc Chang and all his sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother and his second eldest brother.  Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

C'est avec regret que nous vous annonçons le décès de Mme Raymonde (Bichette) Sicé décédée le 31 mai 2013, à l'âge de 87 ans. Elle était l'épouse bien-aimée de feu Alain Sicé et la fille de feu Roger Guillaume et de feu Louise Lasson. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Marie-Christine (Salim), Marie-Noëlle (Lucie), Marie-Dominique (Marc), Jean-Paul ( Stéphanie) et Marie -Annick (Christian). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Meenu, Fahran, Sabia, Marie-Laure, Shakeel, Gwennaëlle, Pierre-Maël, Emily, Adrien et Marie-Ève.
