Spicer, Patricia Rita “Pat” – Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Jerry Kerr. Loving mother of Paula (Jim) Thornton, Kerry (Al) Best and Janet (Scott) Ferguson. Cherished grandmother to Jimmie (Dieuwke), Steve (Marsha), Greg (Katie), Carol, Amy, Shannon and Kate. Great-grandmother to Sabina, Rebekah, Sarah, Ella and Tasma. She leaves behind a sister, Jean Snarr. Predeceased by her late husband Brant Spicer and sister Kay Alexander. She will be deeply missed by many close friends and relatives. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caring staff at Extendicare Medex. The family invites relatives and friends to join them on Friday, February 28th, 2014 at First Memorial Funeral Services – Fairview Chapel – 259 St. Patrick St. Ottawa, ON for a visitation from 7 – 9 pm. Condolences will be received at the St. Richard’s Anglican Church on 8 Withrow Ave, Ottawa on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 from 12:15 pm until a Memorial Service at 1 pm. Reception immediately following in the church hall. A burial will be held at a later date. In memory of Pat donations can be made to St. Richard’s Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
